Previously the total seat for MBBS in Assam was 726. This time due to introduction of EWS, which includes 10% of total seats. So Medical colleges were asked if they wants, they can increases their seats by
25%. Previously the seat matrix for Assam MBBS seats were as below.

Happy to share~Medical Council of India has sanctioned 174 additional #MBBS seats under Economically Weaker Section quota for 6 medical colleges of Assam, taking total available seats to 900. Will address aspirations of many who wish to pursue medicine.
